Tumay Uncu, Barrister & Solicitor
Tumay Uncu is a highly experienced legal professional and co-founder of Uncu & Uncu Law Firm, bringing over a decade of experience in criminal defence across multiple jurisdictions. His international legal background and academic achievements provide clients with a unique, well-rounded perspective on complex legal matters.
Tumay completed his LL.B. at Kocaeli University in Türkiye, followed by a Master’s degree in Criminal Law at the University of Regensburg in Germany. He further expanded his expertise by obtaining a degree in Forensic Science from Aix-Marseille University in France, and later earned his Ph.D. from Istanbul University in Türkiye.
Throughout his career, Tumay has practiced as a criminal defence lawyer in both Türkiye and Germany for over ten years, gaining extensive courtroom and litigation experience.
After relocating to Canada, Tumay completed an LL.M. at the University of Michigan Law School. He also pursued additional legal studies at Osgoode Hall Law School (York University) and the Peter A. Allard School of Law (University of British Columbia) to meet the requirements of the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA). He is now called to the Bar in Ontario.
Tumay’s practice focuses on Criminal Law and Provincial Offences, Immigration and Refugee Law, and Estate Planning. He is known for his analytical approach, attention to detail, and commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients.
He is fluent in English, Turkish and German, allowing him to effectively represent and communicate with a diverse client base.

Ece Uncu, Licensed Paralegal and Notary Public
Ece Uncu is a licensed paralegal in Ontario and co-founder of Uncu & Uncu Law Firm, bringing valuable legal and administrative experience from both Türkiye and Canada. Her background in the justice system, combined with her client-focused approach, allows her to provide efficient and reliable legal support.
Ece began her legal career after graduating from a Paralegal Program at Anadolu University in Türkiye. She went on to serve within the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Türkiye as a court clerk and bailiff assistant manager, where she gained extensive experience in court procedures, file management, and the practical workings of the legal system.
After relocating to Canada, Ece completed the English for Academic Purposes program at Humber College, further strengthening her academic and professional communication skills. She then graduated from the Paralegal Program at St. Clair College and is now a licensed paralegal in Ontario.
Ece’s practice focuses on Provincial Offences, matters before the Immigration and Refugee Board, and Notary Public Services. She is known for her attention to detail, organization, and commitment to assisting clients through legal processes with clarity and professionalism.
She is fluent in English and Turkish, allowing her to effectively communicate with and support a diverse range of clients.

Faruk Akcelik, Law Clerk and Interpreter

Faruk holds a degree in Italian Language and Literature from Istanbul University in Türkiye, where he developed strong linguistic and analytical skills. His academic background, combined with his professional experience, enables him to assist in legal documentation, client communication, and interpretation across various matters.
In his role as a law clerk, Faruk supports case preparation, document management, and administrative processes, contributing to the efficient operation of the firm. As an interpreter, he plays a key role in ensuring that clients fully understand legal proceedings and communications.
